Bright Archives Podcast, Episode 1
Welcome to the Bright Archives Podcast
We’ve spent years working in professional archives, preservation, and storytelling spaces - through this podcast we want to learn more about vernacular forms of preservation.
We’ll talk with people who inspire us to think about preservation and the process of creating an archive differently. And we’ll talk with the owners and creators of collections to learn what motivates all of us to bring objects into our lives and how possessions shape our lived experiences. We are searching for different forms of preservation. We’re talking with collectors of metal pins and books, people who sell their collections, and even chefs who preserve histories through food.
We’re interested in what it means to build meaningful archives. We want to listen deeply to the world around us to explore the value preservation has for all of us.
