We’re an independent archival production house. We help our clients create and organize records of their experiences and use creative media to shine light on their stories.

After years of working together as part of the Oral History Program at Carnegie Mellon University, we decided to leave academia and make the leap to open an archival consulting company. We’ve met many people from small to mid-sized organizations and projects—especially in arts and technology spaces—who need archival services but don’t have an in-house archivist or don’t know where to start. We want to demystify the art of creating and managing archives and make it easy for people to access archival services.

Our approach is unique. We’re combining two distinct areas—archives and production—to help people not only build records of their experiences but also share them in a meaningful way. Creative media is such a powerful tool for making connections and sharing information so why can’t we apply that to the stories found in archives? And not as an afterthought but as part of the process? That’s our hypothesis and we’re excited to take this journey building meaningful archives.
